Chunky Monkey Oatmeal 🐵🍌🍫

Welcome to my first post of 2022!

Thank you to all of you that were waiting patiently and supportive of my break. 2021 was a rough year for me mental health-wise and, as much as I love creating recipes and posting on here, the actual social media part is draining for me. It was a much needed break 💕.

I’m still not sure what this account will look like in 2022. I’ve been wanting to break away from from just being an oat account, but I’m hesitant about sharing anything non-oatmeal related. I actually started this account with the intention of focusing on plant-based food options, but my oatmeal posts were by far my most popular so I niched down. You all seem to like when I share my other food on my stories though, so maybe be on the lookout for posts and reels of my lunches and dinners too 😉.

🍌 Flocons d'Avoine Chunky Monkey
– 1 banane écrasée
– 1/2 tasse (48g) de flocons d'avoine
– 1/2 tasse (120 ml) d'eau
– 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup (80-120ml) nondairy milk
- pincée de sel
– 1 cuillère à soupe (7g) de farine de lin

🍫 Garnitures
– candied walnuts traderjoes
– chocolate chips
- Banane tranchée

Stovetop:
1. In a small saucepan, combine mashed banana, oats, water, 1/2 cup (120ml) nondairy milk, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then lower to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid is mostly absorbed.
2. Remove from heat and stir in flax meal.
3. Transférer dans un bol de service.
4. Add walnuts and chocolate chips and any other desired toppings. Enjoy!

Microwave:
1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add mashed banana, rolled oats, water, and salt. Microwave for 2 minutes.
2. Stir in 1/3 cup (80ml) nondairy milk. Microwave for another 2 minutes.
3. Stir in flax meal and let sit to thicken for a few minutes.
4. Add walnuts and chocolate chips and any other desired toppings. Enjoy!
